History: I don't talk much about my personal life but I'm going to share my fitness story.
I am currently 31 and I've been pretty big on fitness and nutrition for the past couple years now. I was extremely fit in high school as a wrestler and football player and then gained about 25 pounds over a 10 year period. I looked at myself one day and was like dang I got chubby. So I decided to do something about it and did the South Beach Diet and lost the 25 pounds. After that I started working out in the gym at work 3 times a week for about 45 minutes and continued eating right and maintained the weight loss for a year or so. Unfortunately I love food and working out got boring or I got too busy and so I'd start gaining a little weight back. I needed something I could commit to an hour a day where I'd burn 600-800 calories and I'd work every muscle in my body. So I bought "Insanity" and it has gotten me in the best shape I have been in since I was a wrestler. It is the hardest work out I have ever done and when you finish it you will have the greatest feeling of acomplishment. Insanity requires no equipment, it is all sports training and just uses your body weight. During the work out you will think to yourself "This is insane" multiple times. It definitely get results though. One of the best things about Insanity though is that you go at your own pace. If you are out of shape then just do what you can and as you improve you can do more and more. You will never master this workout though. It will always challenge you 100%. Plus I don't have to drive anywhere I just do it in my living room. I still do Insanity currently and I also work in P90X, running, and bench press. They key for me is to keep a good mix so my entire body is fit and not just my upper body. It also keeps it from getting boring. The Beachbody Coach thing: Now I decided to take it to the next level again and really motivate myself as well as hopefully motivate and inspire others. I can earn extra money in the process so that's an added bonus. I sell Beachbody products now and answer questions and give advice. I can help with nutrition and fitness goals and recommend the right workout to get started. If you want to look into making money as well by joining my team I can answer questions about that also. My website is http://beachbodycoach.com/travisp25. We sell all kinds of fitness products to meet any goal as well as some of the best nutrition supplements. I ask that if you want any of these products to consider ordering them through my website as that is how I am able to make a little bit of money. I will also then be a resource for you in the future if you have nutrition or fitness questions. I use the P90X Results and Recovery formula after the hard Insanity and P90X workouts. Not only does it help me recover faster, but it tastes really good so I actually want to do the workouts, so I can feel good about drinking it. There are also pull up bars that attach to the door frame, resistance bands, balance balls, etc. Shakeology is a proven meal replacement shake that costs around $4 per serving, so a little less than grabbing McDonalds, but it will allow you to eat a good and healthy meal even when you are busy or don't have time to cook and will help accelerate your weight loss. Information on it can be found at http://myshakeology.com/esuite/home/travisp25 The Bottom Line: I have a very good day job and I'm not a very social person so I'm not doing this just for the money. I truely believe in these products and think they can help people live healthier lives. It's no fun being overweight or obese and having no energy. Lose some weight, get in shape, and have fun doing it and really start to enjoy life. Your mental and physical health will be better and people will notice the change in you. If you are already in shape think about taking it to the next level. If you have any questions PM me on this website or click the "contact me" link on my beachbody site. _________________ Guild leader Ulgoth of Boulderfist(main) Angurz(alt) Velrakt(benched) http://www.thinkfithealth.com - My fitness blog. |

do you do any outdoor activities besides "working out"?
hiking, biking, jogging, sports, etc? diet is more important than the workout as far as i am concerned so what does your diet consist of? kind of like a quick breakdown maybe(breakfast - mid morning - lunch - mid afternoon - dinner - late dinner) _________________

Vycor: Have you tried the all Mexican diet?
Basically you just eat all Mexican food with lots of hot sauces and spicy stuff so you just take a huge explosive shit 2-3 hours after the meal. It's worked for me for years. I don't have any friends, and nobody wants to live with me, but hey.. _________________ "Old Brownbark has Spoken" -AJ

You should've came out Saturday Trav. My wife just bought the P90 last month and wish i knew you were selling it too.
We could use you for some nutrition stuff man. Since I've been doing Krav Maga now i'm in much need to eat better foods and a pre workout or post workout from class would help a ton. Right now we do class for two hours and it completely kicks my ass to the point I think i'm going to die. Unfortunately i'm still smoking but I'm winging myself off it slowly now finally. I cut out pop and drink nothing but water and beer when i'm chillin. My buddy down the street lost 30lbs by switching to vodka/crystal light instead of beer but now I think he is an alcholic. ROFL Hit me up man, maybe we can hook up this weekend and talk about some of this shit. Most of you don't know Trav in real life but I can tell you this. He is the most honest and blunt person i've ever known and i've seen this change he went through and its pretty amazing. I will be picking up some shit for sure bro just hit me up. We have been eating Chicken off the George Foreman grill and steamed veggies for dinner or just cold sandwiches. When we eat fastfood its subway. _________________

My wife and I run a few times a week. I'll run 4-5 miles and then do bench or do the Insanity ab workout. I was a sprinter in high school so had never been able to run more than 3 miles before. My wife has done marathons and wanted me to train for a half marathon with her. After I completed Insanity I was immediately able to go out and run 4 and then did 6 and 8 the following weeks. Unfortunately I was a little too eager and suffered a common running injury caused by increasing mileage too fast. The injury only effects my running so now I'm just slowly working my way back up and I'd like to do a half marathon or marathon at some point. In regards to your diet it's very important to get a healthy balance of carbs, protein and fats. Fats consumed should mostly be polyunsaturated and monounsaturated. A typical day for me is breakfast: fiber one cereal, eggs snack: peanut butter and banana lunch: sandwich, yogurt, carrots, granola bar snack: apple dinner: whatever I decide to cook for the week. I think diet is the most important for initially losing weight but if you want to keep it off then it really helps to get a solid work out plan plus it feels better to be in great shape then to just be skinny. _________________ Guild leader Ulgoth of Boulderfist(main) Angurz(alt) Velrakt(benched) http://www.thinkfithealth.com - My fitness blog. |

We have been eating Chicken off the George Foreman grill and steamed veggies for dinner or just cold sandwiches. When we eat fastfood its subway. If the workout is that hard you would benefit from this results and recovery formula. Studies have shown that within an hour after working out is when you gain the most benefit from eating so they developed a drink with the correct blend of carbs to protein and added some creatine to it so basically your muscles suck up all of the sugar they just expended and the protein in the drink piggy backs along with it so your muscles can start rebuilding right away. Be careful with the subway it's easy to think you are eating healthy but the bread and mayo can have a million calories and it's easy to overeat because it's not very filling. I eat the Ultimate Chicken Grill from Wendys and a chili as the side when I'm getting fast food. Yeah Bash we can hook up sometime. I don't think I have much going on this weekend. _________________ Guild leader Ulgoth of Boulderfist(main) Angurz(alt) Velrakt(benched) http://www.thinkfithealth.com - My fitness blog. |

this topic is cool. I have always been wondering about p90x, i hear all the time about people losing all kinds of weight by doing it. I just don't think I can do the home dvd workout thing cuz I love the weight room experience too much. Is there like an Insanity workout sheet that you can buy and just go off of that, or is it only on dvd? I will prob hit u up for some supplements when I find the one I want.

It's just on DVD Oldspice. If you can go to the gym and motivate yourself to work your butt off then more power to you. I enjoy the DVD because you are motivated to keep up with the people on the TV. The military has started doing P90X and Insanity as well to get in better shape. Insanity is harder than P90X and the difference is that with Insanity you will become incredibly fit and ripped if you stick to the plan and the diet but since there's no weights you can't bulk up if that is your goal. P90X you can add in the big time weight to add some bulk.
You can order either one for a 30 day trial and get your money back if you don't like it. _________________ Guild leader Ulgoth of Boulderfist(main) Angurz(alt) Velrakt(benched) http://www.thinkfithealth.com - My fitness blog. |

I have used p90x before, and I must say it is pretty crazy. It seems to build a lot of endurance because they have you working for a very long time with little to no time to rest. Even the warm ups are a workout at first if you aren't in the best shape. All you really need for them are some dumbells / resistance bands and a pull up bar.

my friend started intensity couple days ago and he said it tells you that you can follow it to the book and get ripped or sorta follow it and get fit. Apparently the diet / workout is super hard to follow if you do exactly what they say
